Make and receive calls with FlyNumber SIP
FlyNumber SIP gives you your own SIP credentials (SIP is the standard that VoIP apps and desk phones use). Plug them into any softphone, desk phone or PBX and your FlyNumber rings there, on up to 5 devices.
Outgoing calls show your FlyNumber as the caller ID and are billed per minute from your prepaid balance at our calling rates. Incoming calls are included with the number's monthly rate: unlimited incoming minutes*. Call like a local, pay like a local.
Voicemail with email notifications and encrypted calls (TLS + SRTP) are built in. No setup fee and no monthly fee for FlyNumber SIP itself. Some number types restrict outbound calling due to local regulations.

Pick your number
When you order, the panel shows a list of available numbers. Search by digits, or by letters that map to the keypad. Pick your own number in the US, Canada, Australia and 50+ other countries; the one you choose is held for 10 minutes while you check out.
Where a list isn't offered, we assign one for you. Use the Pick specific # filter on our coverage page to see where you can choose.
SMS/Text Messages
- Incoming texts land in your panel's SMS inbox and in your email at the same time. Free in most countries, with a small per-segment fee in the US, Mexico, Lithuania and Thailand.
- Send texts from the panel on any FlyNumber with SMS out. No activation needed, billed at per-segment rates. Texting US numbers is coming soon.
- Use the SMS in / SMS out filters on our coverage page to see which numbers can text.
- Texting is person-to-person. Bulk or automated (A2P) messaging isn't supported, and 2FA codes aren't guaranteed.
Optional cloud phone system
Usually you don't need it. One person with a softphone is covered by FlyNumber SIP. A team, a voice menu, business hours or call recording is when it's worth adding: do I need the phone system?
The cloud phone system is $14.95 a month flat for your whole account, with up to 30 users. Connect as many FlyNumbers as you need, same price.

- Some countries require registration (ID or proof of address). The coverage page shows which; the panel walks you through the upload at checkout. Other numbers are usually active right away.
- Each number comes with 2 concurrent-call channels. Contact support for more.
- Porting in is free in nearly all countries, and we never block a legitimate port-out.

Can I choose my own virtual phone number?

Can I make outgoing calls with a virtual phone number?
Yes. Set the number's Call Handling to FlyNumber SIP and register any SIP app, desk phone or PBX. Outgoing calls show your FlyNumber as the caller ID and are billed per minute from your prepaid balance at the rates on the Rates page. Incoming calls are included with the number's monthly rate. Some number types restrict outbound calling due to local regulations.
Can I send and receive text messages (SMS)?
Numbers with SMS in receive texts in your panel inbox and by email. Numbers with SMS out can send texts from the panel by default, at per-segment rates. It's for personal, person-to-person texting; bulk, marketing and automated (A2P) messaging isn't supported. Texting US numbers isn't available yet — it's coming soon (A2P). Can I port my existing phone number to FlyNumber?
Yes. Submit the request from your panel: pick the country and number type, download and sign the LOA (letter of authorization), upload it with a recent bill, and we handle the carrier side and keep you posted. Porting in is free in nearly all countries. It usually takes a few business days for US and Canada numbers and 1–3 weeks internationally.
Do I need to register or send documents to get a number?
Only for some countries, where the law requires ID or proof of address. The Coverage page shows which numbers need registration. The panel walks you through the upload at checkout and verified numbers activate in about 1–3 business days. Numbers without registration, like the US, Canada, UK and Israel, are usually active right away.
How much does a virtual phone number cost?
