Payment Preferences
Learn how to manage your payment preferences and automatic renewal settings for your FlyNumber services.
Auto-Renew Settings
You can enable or disable automatic renewal for any FlyNumber through the My FlyNumbers page:
- Navigate to My FlyNumbers
- Click "Details" for the number you want to manage
If auto-renew is disabled, the number will not renew regardless of other account payment settings.
Recurring Payment Options
For periodic payments (1, 3, 6, or 12 months), you have several options:
1. Prepaid Balance
The system always attempts to renew numbers using your prepaid balance first, regardless of other payment settings. You can:
- Add funds manually to keep your balance topped up
- Monitor your balance through the dashboard
- Set up automatic notifications or refills (see below)
2. PayPal Subscription
You can create or manage PayPal subscriptions for individual numbers:
- Navigate to My FlyNumbers
- Click "Details" on the desired number
- Scroll down to "Subscriptions"
- Click "Create Subscription"
If you selected the phone system option when purchasing the number, the subscription will include both the number cost and the monthly phone system fee ($14.95). For example, with a 6-month billing period, the subscription would cover both services multiplied by 6 months.
PayPal subscriptions don't cover per-minute charges for call forwarding or outgoing calls. Consider adding a backup credit card for these expenses.
3. Credit Card Management
Manage your credit cards through Account Settings:
- Navigate to Account Settings
- Scroll to the "My Credit Cards" section
You can:
- Add new cards
- Remove cards (click the X)
- Set a default card
- View saved cards
You cannot remove the default card if auto-refill is enabled. You must first change the "Low balance action" to "Send Notification" in Payment Preferences.
Auto-Refill and Notifications
Configure automatic balance management in Account Settings:
- Navigate to Account Settings
- Scroll to "Payment Preferences"
- Choose your preferred low balance action:
Auto-Refill Setup
Configure:
- Balance threshold: When to trigger the refill
- Refill amount: How much to charge your default card
- Low balance action: Select "Auto refill"
Email Notifications
To receive low balance alerts:
- Set "Low balance action" to "Send notification"
- Set your preferred "Balance threshold"
- Ensure your email address is correct in Account Settings
Email notifications are useful when you prefer to manage payments manually but want to stay informed about low balances.
