General FAQ's
What is FlyNumber?
FlyNumber provides local phone numbers from over 70 countries. You can handle calls through VoIP infrastructure, forward them to other phone numbers, or use our cloud phone system for advanced routing capabilities. Some numbers also support SMS functionality where the SMS is set directly to your email.
How do I get started with FlyNumber?
Getting started is simple:
- Sign up and select your country and area code
- Choose how you'll use your number (forward calls, VoIP, or cloud phone system)
- Enter your forwarding or VoIP details
- Add funds manually or set up a subscription
- Manage settings anytime in My Account > My FlyNumbers
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept PayPal and all major credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover, and JCB). You can either pay directly or maintain a prepaid balance in your account. See our payments overview for details.
How does billing work?
Numbers are automatically configured with auto-renewal enabled. The system first attempts to use your prepaid balance for renewals, then falls back to your default credit card if needed. You can choose billing periods of 1, 3, 6, or 12 months. Learn more in our billing guide.
Can I port my existing number to FlyNumber?
Yes! We support porting for most landline, mobile, VoIP, and toll-free numbers. The process is free for most countries (Switzerland has a $75 USD fee). The number must be active with your current carrier to be eligible for porting. See our porting guide for details.
How do I forward calls to my mobile phone?
You can forward calls to any standard phone number worldwide. There's a per-minute rate that varies by destination. For example, forwarding to a US number costs $0.02 per minute, while UK mobile forwarding is around $0.08 per minute. Check our forwarding guide for setup instructions.
